Account troubleshooting

Logging in/out

You will need the email address registered to your Lunar Energy account and your password to log in.

1. Open the app and tap ‘Log in’

2. Enter your email address and password.

3. Tap ‘Log in'

I forgot my password

1. Go to the ‘Log in’ page on the app and tap ‘Forgot password?’ at the bottom.

2. Enter your account’s email address.

3. Tap ‘Send’.

4. Check your inbox for a reset password email from Lunar.

5. Tap ‘Reset password’ to be taken to the reset password screen in the app.

a) If you have your inbox open on a desktop or a separate device from the one with the Lunar App installed, you will need to manually enter the reset password code into your app.

i. If the app shows the ‘please check your email’ screen, go to ‘enter the code manually.

ii. If you’re at any other screen, please repeat these steps and stay on the app open at the ‘please check your email’ screen.

I forgot the email address used for my account 

First try the ‘Forgotten password” steps using possible email addresses that could be associated with your account. If you receive a ‘Reset your password’ email, then you’ve found the email associated with your Lunar Energy App account.

If you’re still unsure of your account’s email address, please contact your installer. 

How to change your password

1. When logged in on your Lunar App, go to Settings and tap into ‘Account’ at the top.

2. Tap ‘Change password.’

3. Enter your current password then enter a new password.

4. Retype your new password to confirm your choice

a) You must enter the same characters in the “New password” and “Repeat new password” boxes

b) Choose a strong password, either a string of random words together and a number or, if you use a password manager, use one they suggest

How to change my email address

To change the email address for your account, follow these steps:

1. When logged in on your Lunar App, go to Settings and tap into ‘Account’ at the top.

2. Tap ‘Change email.’

3. Enter the new email address for your account.

4. Retype the new email address to confirm your choice and tap ‘Change email’.

5. Both your new and old account email address will receive an email notifying you of the change.

If you receive a ‘Change email’ email but weren’t the one to change your password, please contact your installer.

Deleting your account 

If you want to permanently delete your Lunar App account, you can do so within the app. Once you delete your account, you won’t be able to undo this action.

How to delete your account 

1. When logged in on your Lunar App, go to Settings and tap into ‘Account’ at the top.

2. Tap ‘Delete account’ at the bottom of the page.

3. Read through the information provided and if you want to proceed, tap ‘Confirm’

What happens to my data after deleting?

Information you provided to register your account and your app usage information will be deleted or anonymized when you delete your Lunar App account.

We will still retain and receive certain information from your Lunar System and send control instructions to it for safety and warranty purposes.

Deleting your account will not affect your system’s behaviour or affect the accounts of users you have invited to join your home.
